Landmark Geographic Solutions needed a new web presence. They came to me with earth at night imagery and asked what I could do. This dramatic theme was custom built and sits on the Joomla CMS platform and integrates javascript animations (MooTools) and social media.

This project was a great union of geography, web technologies and community. The idea was to see how we could leverage Google Maps to present different types of community data. Snowbound built the interface and did some data management. Map layer switching is done through a completely custom Javascript system using the MooTools framework.

The English Language Artists Network out of Montreal was launching a new project raising the profile of their organization and members and they wanted a map to add a spatial dimension to their community. Snowbound created a custom map layering framework, menu system and helped them leverage Google Maps to show off a vibrant and active community of artists in Quebec.

Spicer Construction needed a web presence to show off their work and services. They wanted something clean, simple and professional. This design kept things to the point, but we also threw in some nice dynamic content layouts, leveraging the MooTools Library.

The PEI EHC needed a new look and new features for their web presence. This site, built with the Joomla CMS offers them the ability to share content, news and articles as well as letting people know about upcoming events. The new design helped raise awareness of a very important cause.

Situated in Wolfeville, N.S., Boso is offers a great selection of Bamboo and natural fibre clothing and products. They needed a simple clean web presence to draw more attention to the store. Snowbound was glad to provide it and is now hooked on bamboo sheets.

Still an active project for Snowbound, the Community Mapping project involved more work with maps, but also needed a public face. This site, built using the Concrete5 CMS, will become the hub of the CM community offering a portal to mapping applications and news.

Another facet of the Community Mapping project is displaying spatial content to the communities. This custom template, built with Flex / ActionScript and using Esri's Flex Viewer as a platform will give people a clean and standardized way to access their local geography.

Snowbound was very excited to work with the Applied Geomatics Research Group as they explored community mapping with Inverness County. Built with Flex / ActionScript and using Esri's Flex Viewer as a platform Snowbound customized the interface, built custom popup info windows and integrated Flickr as a source for images.
